St. Mary Parish School has a new principal! Annemarie Wood, Greenfield, Wisconsin, will step into her new leadership position at St. Mary starting July 1.
“Principal Wood brings us 12 years of education experience in the Archdiocese of Milwaukee, a heart dedicated to Catholic education, and a passion for nurturing academic excellence,” said Msgr. Ross Shecterle.
In 2023, Wood received the Herb Kohl Teacher Fellowship — a program that recognizes teaching excellence and innovation in the state of Wisconsin — and she recently completed her Master’s degree in Administrative Leadership and Curriculum Instruction at Marquette University. She has taught at St. Mary Hales Corners and served as acting principal as needed.
“We believe her commitment to cultivating intellectual aspirations and creating meaningful, engaging educational experiences for students, as well as her emphasis on supporting the teachers, parents, and other stakeholders involved in a student’s formation, aligns seamlessly with St. Mary’s approach to a holistic, collaborative, Catholic education,” Shecterle said. “With her leadership, and the exemplary team already in place, we are confident that under the watchful gaze of our patroness, St. Mary Parish School she is well-equipped to carry our strategic plan to success!”
Shecterle offered his thanks to the members of the search committee who help in the hiring process.
