St. Mary School is seeking a full-time School Secretary to join our vibrant and mission-driven community. This position serves as the welcoming face of our school and plays an essential role in supporting students, families, faculty, and administration in the daily life of the building.
Position Summary
The School Secretary provides front-office support, manages communication and records, and assists with the coordination of school operations. The ideal candidate is organized, warm, flexible, and able to thrive in a joyful, fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet and assist students, parents, and visitors
- Answer phones and manage daily correspondence
- Support attendance and student record keeping
- Coordinate substitute teachers and assist with scheduling
- Support field trip logistics and school events
- Assist with ordering and maintaining school supplies
- Provide general administrative support to faculty and administration
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant office or administrative experience
- Strong organizational and communication skills

Physical Education Teacher
Physical Education Teacher
St. Mary School is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic educator to serve as our Physical Education and Middle School Health Teacher. This is an immediate full-time opening for the current school year.
We are looking for a candidate who promotes physical wellness, healthy habits, teamwork, and personal responsibility while fostering a positive and structured learning environment.
Position Responsibilities
- Teach Physical Education to elementary and middle school students
- Teach Middle School Health curriculum

Custodian
FULL-TIME CUSTODIAN
At St. Mary Parish and School, we believe that a joyful, welcoming environment helps bring our faith to life. We are seeking a positive, dependable, and service-minded Custodial Staff member who takes pride in creating clean, safe, and beautiful spaces where our parish family can gather to worship, learn, celebrate, and grow together. From preparing spaces for Mass and parish events to caring for our school and grounds, the Custodial Staff member plays a vital role in supporting our mission.
Responsibilities
- Complete daily rounds/inspections (e.g. turning lights on/off, unlocking/locking entrances, and checking HVAC systems, refrigerator temperatures, and laundry).
- Complete paper/computer work (e.g. log books, order forms, checklists).
- Perform general custodial tasks throughout all parish facilities, including moving and replacing furniture to vacuum or dry mop and wash floors, cleaning up/disinfecting and other spills, and collecting and disposing trash/recyclables.
- Inspect and clean surfaces with graffiti and other markings as needed.
- Clean outside of buildings, cut grass, inspect and communicate instances of damage and/or conditions of general deterioration.
- Perform scheduled monthly, semi-annual, and annual custodial duties (e.g. floor scrubbing, painting, window washing, carpet cleaning).
- Provide set up and cleaning of facilities for parish, school, and third-party activities, ensuring facility needs for weekend and evening activities are satisfied, including consideration of weather-related circumstances.
- Work with B&G volunteers as directed by B&G Manager.
- Attend seminars and meetings as requested by the B&G Manager.
Maintenance
- Perform typical facility maintenance tasks including minor electrical, plumbing, ventilation, roofing, and carpentry along with all due preventative maintenance. Examples include, but are not limited to, replacing downspouts, burned out bulbs, broken windows and ballasts, drain snaking, cleaning heating units, changing filters, interior and exterior painting, replacing plumbing and associated fixtures, and flooring repair.
- Perform grounds maintenance including snow removal and sidewalk salting.
- Maintain facilities and equipment to ensure continuous, effective operation, including HVAC system preparation for heating and cooling seasons.
- Obtain necessary certifications as required.
- Given B&G Manager approval, purchase B&G supplies/materials as needed, and verify receipt and condition of supplies/materials when delivered.
- Refer supplier contacts to the B&G Manager.
- Identify conditions needing major repair and make B&G Manager aware of them.
- Keep work areas and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
Qualifications
Physical Demands
- Heavy physical demand/metabolic equivalent (MET) level (greater than 50 lbs./6.4-7.5 METs). For example, carrying 80 lb. load or snow shoveling.
- Lifting/carrying (occasional frequency)
- Pushing/pulling (occasional frequency)
Knowledge
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training preferred.
- Understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Skills
- Strong organizational, problem solving, troubleshooting, and diagnostic skills.
- Professional and collaborative approach to work; strong customer service orientation.
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
- Broad range of facility maintenance skills.
Abilities
- Proficiently read, write, comprehend and communicate in the English language.
- Manage time efficiently and prioritize work duties.
- Take direction and work with minimum supervision; self-motivated.
- Attentive to details.
Other Requirements:
- Available to work outside of regularly scheduled hours (e.g. evenings, weekends) as buildings and grounds needs dictate.
- Approved criminal background check and Safe Environment Education trained.
- Ability to perform each area of responsibility to the satisfaction of the Maintenance Supervisor
