Every year, St. Mary Parish School has a theme that guides us and refocuses our mission statement, which is “Challenging Minds, Developing Character, Living Jesus.” For the 2024-25 school year, our theme comes from Mark 16:15: “Tell the Good News!” The imagery takes inspiration from the symbol of the fish, which was used by early Christians to identify one another in a world that challenged their beliefs. Read more about the Greek roots of this symbol.

Today, our school of fish also “Live Jesus” in the face of the worldly temptations around them. In doing so, they consistently show us many moments of “Good News” throughout the day that our world needs to hear. Their success needs to be shared.

Our dedicated teachers celebrate with each child when they conquer a new skill, overcome a hurdle, and practice the many ways they Live Jesus. We are ready to Tell everyone this Good News! Good things are happening in our school community every day, and we are so excited to share them with you.

I pray that you join me in telling our “Good News” and join us as volunteers, Home and School members, Room parents, and community members to be a part of all the good things happening. Then please tell others about it. While our world divides itself in many ways, let us be the voices of good and give others hope.
